Collingwood Park Site for Sale at Auction

A substantial site next to a Woolworths-anchored shopping centre at Collingwood Park in the western Brisbane-Ipswich growth corridor is being offered for sale via auction by Ray White Commercial.

The 7082 sqm vacant block at 180 Eagle Street, Collingwood Park, is being marketed by Stephen Kidd and Elliot Kidd of Ray White Commercial Qld.

Stephen Kidd said the block has previously been approved for a service station and is zoned LC1 – Local Retail and Commercial (Major Neighbourhood Centres).

“This is an exciting land development opportunity next to a prominent shopping centre and our clear instructions from the vendor are to sell the property,” he said.

“The vacant block is the second allotment west of Collingwood Drive, and it is situated on the southern alignment of Eagle St.”

Elliot Kidd said Collingwood Park, which is approximately 13km south-east of the Ipswich CBD, is an established suburb enjoying solid growth and is well serviced by two schools and the Woolworths-anchored neighbourhood shopping centre.

“Collingwood Park/Redbank had a resident population of 9,209 as at June, 2015,” he said.

“The suburb has experienced a solid growth rate of 4.5 per cent over the past 10 years compared to 1.9 per cent for the wider Brisbane metropolitan area.”

Mr Kidd said the Ipswich region was benefitting from significant investment in infrastructure and strong economic and employment growth.

“Ipswich is expected to reach 200,000 people in 2017 and more than double that population within the next 20 years to reach 485,000 by 2036,” he said.

“The local economy is led by professional services including finance, education, health and community services.

“Industries well established in Ipswich include: aerospace; education; manufacturing; food processing; wine; transport, tourism and motor sports.

“Located on the outskirts of Ipswich, the Royal Australian Air Force’s Base at Amberley is Australia’s largest air base, employing over 5,000 people.”

The Collingwood Park property is being offered for sale by auction at 10.30 (AEST) on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Level 26, 111 Eagle Street, Brisbane.
